Robbie Reddy is an imaginative filmmaker and creative storyteller – equally at home directing and producing visually impactful, and distinctive high-end entertainment, to compelling documentaries and eye-catching promos.
As well as working across all major terrestrial UK networks, a diverse array of projects have also taken him across the globe. From showrunning hit dating format Catfish, one of MTV LA’s highest rated shows, to filming BBC 2 music documentaries on renound US songwriter Diane Warren, and the late music legends Prince and Whitney Houston, together with a host of reality and ob doc formats for leading hispanic networks Univision and Telemundo.
As a show runner he has headed up large scale tv formats in the US and across South America, including multiple re-commissions of Fox Sports US World Cup reality format ‘The Nissan Final Rematch’, where former US, Mexican and Argentinean soccer legends were reunited for a final showdown. The series won two industry awards for best reality show.
With a passion for music and entertainment, Robbie has gone from transforming The London Eye into an endurance course for an Olympic gold medalist (Duracell), to producing music fashion event ‘Emporio Armani Red – For One night Only’ with design icon Georgio Armani and Beyonce (Channel 4). He has produced The MOBO Awards at The Royal Albert Hall, with Jon Legend and Lauryn Hill (BBC 1), and interviewed diverse stars and prominent figures from the late David Bowie to former Prime Minister Tony Blair. He has also directed music performances for many artists including Will Young and Westlife.
Robbie has delivered branded content for some of the world’s most recognisable brands including Adidas, Nissan, Sprint and Skype. Other skills include senior editing, shooting, multi-camera direction (BBC multi-cam courses), and music composition. The following pages feature a selection of highlights.
